What Is the Subaru College Graduate Program?
Establishing auto credit can be difficult when you're just starting your career. The Subaru Motors Finance Enhanced College Graduate Program gives qualifying recent and soon-to-be graduates an opportunity to finance or lease an eligible Subaru while beginning to build vehicle credit in their own name.
You May Qualify If You:
- Will graduate within the next 6 months
- Graduated within the previous 36 months
- Earned an Associate, Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Attended an accredited 2- or 4-year U.S. college, graduate school or qualifying Nursing School (LVN or RN)
- Have no prior or current vehicle credit
- Have no past or current derogatory or delinquent credit history
- Are currently employed or within 90 days of your employment start date
- Meet all Subaru Motors Finance program and credit requirements
What Vehicles May Qualify?
Finance
Eligible new, Certified Pre-Owned and used Subaru vehicles up to 12 model years old may qualify.
Lease
Eligible new Subaru vehicles may qualify for leasing through the program.
What Documents May Be Needed?
Subaru Motors Finance will verify your graduate status. If additional documentation is required, you may be asked to provide:
- A diploma showing your graduation date
- A final transcript showing the degree earned and date
- A registrar's letter showing expected graduation date and degree
- A current transcript showing classes, credits earned and credits needed

College Graduate Program FAQs
How recently do I need to have graduated?
You may qualify if you are graduating within the next six months or graduated within the previous 36 months from the date of your application.
What degrees and schools qualify?
Eligible applicants must have an Associate, Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited 2- or 4-year U.S. college, graduate school or qualifying Nursing School (LVN or RN).
Do I need previous auto credit?
No. The program is intended for qualifying applicants who have no prior or current vehicle credit.
Can I have negative credit history and still qualify?
The program requires applicants to have no past or current derogatory or delinquent credit history. Final eligibility is determined by Subaru Motors Finance.
What if I'm applying jointly with someone else?
For a joint application to qualify under the College Graduate Program, both applicants must meet the program's eligibility requirements.
What if I haven't started my job yet?
You may still qualify if you are within 90 days of your employment start date, subject to program requirements and verification.
How is my graduation status verified?
Subaru Motors Finance will attempt to verify your graduate status. If additional documentation is required, recent graduates may be asked for a diploma or final transcript. Soon-to-be graduates may be asked for a registrar's letter or current transcript showing expected graduation status.
Can I buy a used Subaru?
Yes. Eligible applicants may finance new, Certified Pre-Owned and used Subaru vehicles up to 12 model years old. Leasing is available on eligible new Subaru vehicles.
Can I combine College Grad with another Subaru Motors Finance program?
No. The College Graduate Program cannot be used in conjunction with another Subaru Motors Finance program. All applications remain subject to credit approval.
