Last month was kind to dealers of Subaru in Baton Rouge and the rest of the country. Sales for September surpassed last year's figures, setting a positive tone for the last quarter of the year. Jeff Youngs of JDPower McGraw-Hill Financial writes about this nationwide trend that has Americans back on the road in droves.

The auto industry continued to experience a significant rebound in sales during September of 2014, with most automakers reporting year-over-year sales gains... Overall, sales were up 9% for the month, compared with September 2013.

The economy went boom
Analysts from the National Automobile Dealers Association have observed the US economy growing more robust in recent months. The consumer demand for newer models plus the declining gas prices are undoubtedly some of the factors behind this.

Dealer efforts
Buyers had no problem buying new cars with all the incentives provided by dealers and auto manufacturers. According to reports, discounts ranged from $2,400 to $2,800 per vehicle, with some automakers upping rebates to entice customers, and spiffs to motivate salesmen.

Subaru sales in the black
Thanks to its top-rated SUV and crossover models, Subaru sales surpassed those from last year in grand fashion. Sedan sales were there, but the numbers favored the high demand for adventure vehicles, the volume of which has reached 22.1% compared to last year.

Subaru sold more than 40,000 vehicles in September of 2014, representing an increase of 31% over the same month last year. Subaru reported that September was the best month ever for its Forester, Legacy, Outback, and XV Crosstrek models.

Thanks to the ballooning sales and transaction prices, the industry is projecting a year-end sales figure of about $407 billion. This will be, by far, the highest grossing year for Subaru dealerships in the Baton Rouge area, like Baldwin Subaru and the rest of the region. What this implies is that a significant number of people are going for the Subaru cars, not only because of its proven quality, but also because of its popular affordability-especially with the right dealers helping you make the purchase.

If you've been putting off buying a brand new or used Subaru automobile, these figures should encourage you that now is, indeed, the perfect time to go take the plunge. With these impressive numbers clearly showing the high demand from consumers, you know you're definitely in good purchasing company.
