When visiting reliable dealers of Subaru near Baton Rogue, one may catch a glimpse of the stylish 2015 Outback wagon, a relatively new offering on the market. Its charms, however, go way beyond its sleek looks. While the exterior packs quite a punch, it also has a lot of spunk on the inside.
Subaru's reimagined Outback has become a hit since its launch, and it has the numbers to show for it. Indeed, the 2015 Outback is a main contributor to Subaru's hefty sales numbers last November, with 14,128 of more than 45,000 vehicles Subaru sold being the new-gen Outback. However, the achievements for one of Subaru's newest offerings go way past its sales numbers. It has also earned the praise of critics around the world, particularly in Canada-where it bagged yet another Best SUV award for its price category. The award was given by the AJAC (Automobile Journalists Association of Canada).
These are such massive achievements for a single vehicle. Still, one might wonder how the 2015 Outback managed to sell like crazy and bag international recognitions. The answer here is simple: it's built to do so.
For one, the 2015 Outback (along with the new-gen Legacy) is a Top Safety Pick+ awardee by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the foremost automobile safety testing body in the U.S. According to the IIHS, the Outback garnered the highest-possible rating of 'Good' in several crashworthiness evaluations, with its "Superior" rating in the front crash avoidance test headlining its achievements. Other safety tests conducted by the IIHS include the side crash test, the roof strength, and rear (seat-based tests).
Under the hood, the 2015 Outback is no pushover, either. All four trims of the vehicle sport Subaru's patented all-wheel drive systems, with the base engine configuration being the 2.5-liter H-4 from the 2.5i 4dr model to the 2.5i Limited model. The only model that differs from the bunch is the 3.6R Limited 4dr, which has a much more powerful 3.6-liter H-6 engine capable of 256 horsepower and 6,000 rpm.
Aside from the engines, all four trims of the 2015 Outback feature Subaru's standard offerings like the EyeSight collision prevention system, as well as the X-Mode (designed to increase traction on specific road conditions) and Active Torque Vectoring (which allows for sharper handling even in tight turns).
Still, words can only do so much. The only thing that's left now is to try out the new 2015 Outback sold at leading Subaru dealerships near Baton Rouge such as Baldwin Subaru, and experience its greatness in person.
