Car manufacturers typically release new car models on a regular basis. This reflects the slight changes that the companies want to implement in their cars, and of course, to boost sales. On the Subaru Outback's sales performance, The Motley Fool's car correspondents point out:
"It has lost some sales recently to Subaru's own Forester, which was new last year. Forester sales are up over 50% so far this year, while the (outgoing) Outback's are up a little over 4%.
But for much of its life, the Outback has been Subaru's best-seller in the U.S. -- and the U.S. is Subaru's most important market."
Considering the American market's importance, Subaru has made sure the changes are impressive on all fronts, including interior, exterior, and the mechanical parts of the car. Subaru dealerships around Baton Rouge, LA will be stocking up on the Outback, expecting the rise in popularity and sales.

Exterior Changes
The new model has the same chassis silhouette, but uses new sheet metal while reducing the body cladding, resulting in a trimmer, slender look. The headlights come with new enclosures and the base of the windshield has been moved forward two inches for greater rake. Retaining the high ground clearance of its predecessor, the new model has enhanced doorsills stability for more secure restraint of items on the roof rack. A new power liftgate was also added.
Interior Changes
Subaru hasn't skipped on upgrading Outback's interior either. With the rear seat up, cargo area now measures 35.5 cubic feet, a cubic foot larger than the previous model. This carries over to the car's maximum cargo space of 73.3 cubic feet (a noticeable two cubic feet more than its predecessor), which is manageable with the back seat up.
On the entertainment factor, a new 6.2-inch touch-screen CD stereo with Pandora integration, iPod connectivity, an MP3 jack and Bluetooth streaming audio have been added. A larger 7-inch touch-screen is also available with satellite radio, text messaging capability, iTunes tagging, and two USB ports. Combined with heated seats and other comforts, riding on an Outback couldn't be more satisfying.
Go For the Outback
Beyond the cosmetic changes, the Outback has made sure it retains its basic formula, but with the proper fine-tuning, such as with its continuously variable transmission (CVT) and powerful engine. Reputable Baton Rouge Subaru dealerships, as well as dealers in the surrounding areas, such as Baldwin Subaru, should be able to give you more exciting new highlights on this popular model.
