People can remember a favorite car because of their performance, and the comfort in driving it. Others remember more vicariously---how cool and exquisite it felt behind the wheel. There's little reason to believe the pleasurable experience of driving a Subaru would be any less with the 2016 Subaru Impreza, which is slated for release later this year, a Torque News article claims.

Many followers of the automotive scene agree that the Impreza is the star attraction in Subaru's line of vehicles. A Jalopnik article even claims the success of the vehicle - thanks to its rally lineage - helped Subaru of America erase bad memories of the SVX and Justy's sales history. If you are looking around for the latest Impreza to come out of the Subaru design labs, dealers like Baldwin Subaru near Gulfport, MS will be among the first to show you the fresh line-up.

Smooth Lines

The hinted sleeker designs on the upcoming Impreza originated from the WRX Concept that debuted at the 2013 New York Auto Show. Avid followers may remember seeing it for the first time - the car sporting a profile that's more in line with a coupe, high hip lines, a trapezoid-styled front and rear end, and an apparent lack of spoilers you often see in any Impreza.

However, none of these cues were present when Subaru rolled out the redesigned Impreza and WRX for the 2015 model year - which closely resembled previous versions. When asked to explain what happened, Masuo Takatsu, general manager of Subaru's WRX program, said compliance with safety regulations, engineering problems, and external issues prevented transplanting the WRX Concept's design ethos into the final product.

Rebound

People who held out on the 2015 Impreza still have a chance of hitting Subaru dealerships near Gulfport, MS for the newer model. Company chief designer Mamoru Ishii said the 2016 model will pack the design features of the WRX Concept. However, some slight restyles will have to be made - the official hinted at trimming the greenhouse roof section and adding more form to the lower body lines. It is not known if the new Impreza will even sport WR Blue Pearl III paint, which was first applied on the WRX Concept.

With the above taken into consideration, it pays to check your nearest dealership and invest in a new Scooby. You might be taking home one that packs a hefty punch underneath the fine lines. Schedule a visit now.
